SWITCH is the culmination of efforts of the awesome students, faculty, and working professionals supporting social change in the ICS department. Established in Fall 2019, we are officially a UH Manoa RIO, ACM-W Chapter, and Girls Who Code College Loops Chapter. We strive to provide useful resources from these organizations to improve your professional, technical, and personal development. We aim to support women and minorities, promote gender and racial equality, facilitate professional, technical & personal development events, create an environment and atmosphere where women can fell safe, prevent violence against women by raising awareness of campus resources, and provide an overall sense of community.

Koa is the University of Hawai‘i (UH) high performance computing (HPC) cluster – a collection of many computers called nodes connected together with a network – that solves computational problems which are too large for standard computers. Koa came fully on-line Decmber 8th, 2023 and replaced the previous Mana computing cluster.

Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation Scholarship Recipient, Rotary Club of East Honolulu
The first Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation scholarship was granted in 1977 and since then, HRYF has awarded scholarships. In memory of “Sully”, who passed away on February 28, 1998, HRYF established a Maurice J. Sullivan Scholar Award and the Joanna Lau Sullivan Scholar Award. Received 2nd place with a semesterly $1,000 scholarship award from Fall 2022 to Spring 2023.
